Clinic in Barking has been running successfully since December
2006, and was awarded the prestigious Pharmas Award.
The service has been developed with the support
of the Anticoagulation Team at Queens and King George Hospital.
Our pharmacists have been specially trained to provide this service
and work to the same standards as the hospital clinics. |

Our Service in Barking and Dagenham offers:-
• Immediate INR (the time
it takes for blood to clot) test results using finger-prick
method.
• Adjustment of warfarin
dose, if needed.
• Ongoing patient and family
education about conditions and treatments.
• Reports to your doctor.
• Domiciliary Visits for
Housebound Patients.
• Choice of four clinic
locations to suit you.

Eligibility
for Treatment |
All patients receiving treatment must
have a referral from the Anticoagulation Clinic at Queens Hospital
or King George Hospital or a doctor. |

The Main Clinic Pharmacy is located on Upney Lane within the
Barking Community Hospital site. .
It is well served by local bus routes:
• The No.
387 and No. 5 bus travel in both directions down Longbridge
Road.
• The No.
62 bus travels on Upney Lane and along Longbridge Road.
• The No.
145 bus runs to/from South Park Drive.
The pharmacy is a 5 minute walk from the Upney
underground station (District Line) and a 25 minute walk from
Barking Station (District and Hammersmith & City Lines).
